Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Mohegan Sun Arena

The Ghosts of Christmas Eve was a rock opera film produced and released by Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) in 1999. The film featured an incredible score consisting of Christmas classics, such as “Oh Come All Ye Faithful,” “O Holy Night,” and more. The songs are presented in sequences to create a storyline. The plot involves a young runaway who takes refuge in an old, dilapidated theater on Christmas Eve. The film was regarded for its “powerful artistry” and “a musical exploration of art and the Christmas spirit.”

On Wednesday, 23rd November 2022, TSO will perform a winter holiday special featuring songs from the 1999 film. Audiences can expect powerful and melodic renditions of their favorite Christmas classic. The concert is set to be a unique and innovative showcase of heavy metal, string ensembles, awe-inspiring visuals, effects, and more.

Hailed as an “arena juggernaut” by many music critics, TSO has been breaking music barriers since its formation in 1996. Founded by music mogul and manager Paul O’Neill, TSO was created when Atlantic Records provided him with a record deal for a new band. O’Neill brought in distinguished musicians Jon Olivia and Al Pritelli as members. Hence the Trans-Siberian Orchestra was born.

TSO has sold over ten million albums worldwide, and more than ten million people have attended live performances. The band is known for its theater and arena performances and for never performing in clubs. Moreover, TSO has always been the main event. The band never engaged as an opening act, nor did it become a support act for other artists.
