This 2023, Trans-Siberian Orchestra is bringing back the glory of their 2022 outing. Last year, the tour covered The Ghosts of Christmas Eve, The Best of TSO, and many more outstanding tracks from their highly acclaimed releases. The tour was so successful that the band had to bring it back for another year due to public demand. So, if you want to lift your holiday spirits but be metal at the same time, this is your opportunity to see the most headbang-worthy Christmas spectacle of the season!
Expect outstanding progressive hits that have been rearranged versions of yuletide carols like “O Holy Night,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “This Christmas Day,” “Good King Joy,” and more. The band will also be performing several originals such as “Christmas Canon,” “Wizards in Winter,” “Madness of Men,” and more. The band is also slated to be performing incredible covers. Last year, TSO covered Ludwig Van Beethoven’s “Requiem (The Fifth),” Savatage’s “If I Go Away” “Christmas Eve,” and Ian Hunter’s “Cleveland Rocks.” This winter, fans can expect the band’s high-energy setlist to feature some unforgettable covers, as well.
Emerging from Tampa, Florida, in 1996, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is a symphonic progressive metal band. Their music has been defined as neoclassical - often pulling influences from classical music through the use of arpeggios and pentatonic scales. The band has often been praised for their excellent musicianship thanks to the outstanding techniques they use to perform music.
The Ghosts of Christmas Eve is Trans Siberian Orchestra’s outstanding soundtrack album, released in 2016. The film of the same title was a made-for-television project which features the critically-acclaimed compositions and arrangements from TSO. The soundtrack album includes popular Christmas hits, such as “O Come All Ye Faithful /O Holy Night,” “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “O Holy Night,” “Christmas Eve/ Sarajevo 12/24,” and many more. Upon its release, the album peaked at number 9 on the Billboard 200.
