The Killers at Mohegan Sun Arena

The Killers are one of the most revered alternative rock bands to come out of the early 2000s. Led by the unprecedented singer-songwriter and frontman Brandon Flowers, The Killers created a unique post-punk revival movement. Their music has been enjoyed by millions of music lovers around the world. In 2004, the band dropped their debut album, Hot Fuss. The first album became an instant breakthrough thanks to hits like “Mr. Brightside,” “Somebody Told Me,” “Smile Like You Mean It,” and “All These Things I’ve Done.” Hot Fuss, a worldwide hit, performed impressively on the charts, peaking at number 7 on the Billboard 200 and 1 in the U.K. In the U.S., the album earned a triple platinum certification after selling more than three million copies. Moreover, Hot Fuss sold over seven million copies worldwide, making it the band’s best-selling album. Meanwhile, their sophomore effort, Sam’s Town, comes in at a close second after selling five million copies worldwide. The album peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and spawned several hits, including “When We Were Young” and “Bones.”

After their phenomenal debut and sophomore releases, The Killers released several more highly acclaimed, chart-performing albums. Their latest effort, Pressure Machine, was released in 2021. The album dominated the Top Rock Albums and Top Folk Albums charts. Meanwhile, it peaked at number 2 on the Alternative chart and number 9 on the Billboard 200.
