When The Killers came bursting out of the rock scene, they sounded like no other. Some hear a few strains from Oasis, The Smiths, or David Bowie, but they could not exactly put a pin down on the pop-rock, alt-meets-new-wave sound of The Killers. From Las Vegas, Nevada, Brandon Flowers (lead vocals, keyboards), Dave Keuning (guitar, backing vocals), Mark Stoermer (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion), got together in 2001, and named themselves after a fictitious band from New Order's music video "Crystal". Since then, the band has released four albums: Hot Fuss (2004), Sam's Town (2006), Day and Age (2008), and Battle Born (2012), which have all acheived chart-topping status worldwide. And these albums are loaded with fans-and-critic-approved monster hit singles and alt-rock anthems like "Mr. Brightside," "Somebody Told Me," "Smile Like You Mean It," "All These Things That I've Done," "When You Were Young," "Human," and "Runaways."
