In 1996, there were 10 talented Indiana University students who formed the group Straight No Chaser. With their amazingly unconventional approach, they crafted a unique repertoire of traditional songs and modern pop tunes that made them one of the most prominent a cappella groups up to this day. In 2006, SNC’s 1998 video of “The 12 Days of Christmas” was posted on YouTube and accumulated over 16 million views. This sudden hype led to an Atlantic Records deal which eventually shaped into a debut studio album “Holiday Spirits”. It was released in 2008 and became the number one selling album on both the iTunes and Amazon.com charts. The album peaked at no. 46 on the US Billboard 200 charts. Subsequently, “Christmas Cheers” was released in 2008 and peaked at no. 38 on the Billboard 200 and “With a Twist” in 2010 which peaked at no. 29 on the Billboard 200 as well. Then in 2012, the group’s most star-studded album “Under The Influence” was released.  It includes collaborations with the brightest artists in the music industry such as Jason Mraz, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Rob Thomas and Sara Bareilles.
