Since teaming up with Jimmy Messina in 1971, Kenny Loggins has accomplished a great deal. In 1970, Messina got to know Loggins. Several of Loggins' songs were recorded by the two musicians in Messina's living room. After signing a six-album deal with Columbia (with Messina's help), Loggins started seriously working on his debut album, with Messina serving as producer.
Messina initially supported the Loggins project solely for the purpose of informing his Buffalo, Springfield, and Poco audiences about Loggins's discovery. By the time the album was complete, Messina's significant contributions as a songwriter, arranger, instrumentalist, and vocalist had led to the two becoming an "accidental duo."
After that, Kenny's career skyrocketed, and he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in addition to 19 gold or platinum albums, 25 million album sales worldwide, and countless other honors and awards. Among other awards, he has received the ASCAP Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award, two Grammys, and the Daytime Emmy.
This Is It, his farewell tour, will include a brand-new stage show that covers his entire career. Tickets are likely to sell out quickly because so many fans will be in attendance. To purchase yours, simply select "Get Tickets" from above.
