Barenaked Ladies are heading back out on the road this summer for their 'Last Summer on Earth' Tour! They will be coming to Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday 27th June 2015.
Supporting them is 90's teen rockers Violent Femmes & Men At Work's lead vocalist, Colin Hay! This is going to be an awesome night with a buzzing energy and good music, one not to miss!
"It's the Last Summer On Earth… Again! It's not a doomsday prediction; it's a call to action. We sincerely hope this won't be the Last Summer on Earth, but just in case, we're going to ROCK like it is!!"
Canadian rock band, Barenaked Ladies are known for their distinctive combination of humor with their music, a mix up of alternative rock, pop and rap. The group's American success rocketed after release of their 1998 album, 'Stunt' and the singles "One Week" and "It's All Been Done."
They are also behind the theme tune of US sitcom, The Big Bang Theory.
Violent Femmes are often discribed as 'the textbook American cult band of the 1980s', capturing the spirit of teen music. Originating from Milwaukee WI, their music is a collection of melodic folk-punk & alternative rock. They continue to succeed time and time again, with their releases of 8 albums and having sold over 9 million records!
Colin Hay is a Scottish Australian musician and actor originally from Kilwinning, Scotland who climbed to fame in the 1980s as lead vocalist of aussie rock band, Men At Work. And writer behind Grammy Award winning songs such as 'Land Down Under' and 'Overkill' Grammy Award of 'Best New Artist' in '83.
