Finally, Heavy Metal musician, come Rock DJ, Sullivan King rounds out the guest list with his newish, Thrones of Blood, album.
4 Years in the making… a 78-piece orchestra, racking up an impressive 36 000 sales, and climbing to No. 13 on the Billboard 200, “Life is But a Dream…” is out now and slaying it, but you know what’s better? Getting to hear it live! You can pick your tickets up as soon as today, so don’t wait around, tell your buddies and let 2024 be even bigger than 2023!
Avenged Sevenfold’s Brooks Wackerman discussed their latest album just before release, Life Is But a Dream…: “We, Avenged Sevenfold, started writing this record four years ago, and I can’t believe we are 90% done. One of the perks in the creative process is that we are able to track a 78-piece orchestra on our records. The fact that we are able to bring incredible musicians together to enhance our art still gives me chills. I can’t wait for the world to hear this. All I can say is it’s unlike anything we’ve ever released.”
The band’s highly experimental eighth studio album, Life Is but a Dream..., was finally released in June 2023, after a gap of nearly seven years since its predecessor, The Stage (2016), marking the band's longest gap between studio albums to date., and the first album to feature the late Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan since Nightmare (2010). The album was critically acclaimed for its themes, experimental approach, and blend of influences and genres.
Recently, the band announced they would be working on a new virtual reality concert, set to be unveiled in ‘early 2024’. The experience is described by the LA Times as ‘a cross between a music video, live concert and first-person video game’, with frontman M. Shadows saying they were doing the project because, “There’s always a barrier between the audience and us. You want to make sure that, though there’s going to be a lot of cool stuff going on, the people can get really close to you… and see you sing and see the drums.”
The band is from Huntington Beach, California, and the current lineup consists of lead singer M. Shadows, rhythm guitarist Zacky Vengeance, lead guitarist Synyster Gates, bassist Johnny Christ, and drummer Brooks Wackerman.
Singer, songwriter, subversive performance artist, video director, and high priestess of no fucks given, Poppy is thrilled to announce her forthcoming new album, Zig, released on October 27, 2023. The new album marks Poppy’s return to pop music, but still features a more industrial sound than her previous album, Flux (2021).
DJ and heavy metal musician, Sullivan King, known for his unusual mix of EDM and electric guitar-centered heavy metal performance, "making his live shows one of the few places where kandi-coated ravers and metalheads mingle". His brand-new, Thrones of Blood, album is finally here, but the savagery is only beginning. “Chock full of bloodthirsty bangers, the new full-length LP oozes with King's patented blend of electronic and metal music. His first album since 2021's Loud, Thrones of Blood, is far more ferocious than any of its predecessors.” Says EDM.com
