Santana are the world’s best-selling groups of all time! Their mainstream success has made them one of the biggest Latin-rock bands to ever walk this earth. The band was founded in the late 1960's by Carlos Santana, who pioneered the fusion of rock and Latin American music together. Known for his incredible guitar playing, which has been recognized by Rolling Stone magazine as number 15 in the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. He has also won 10 Grammy Awards and has three Latin Grammy Awards under his belt.
Santana are one of the very few living bands who played at Woodstock Festival in 1969.
Their cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Black Magic Woman" gave them the boost that they needed in 1970, it reached number 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was a smash hit in the U.S!
In 1998, with the group still being at the top of their game, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their 1999 studio album, 'Supernatural', debuted at number 19 in the UK and number 18 on the U.S. Billboard.
Santana briefly split and in 2013, Carlos gathered the original line-up for an original tour, a year later came the album 'Corazon' and a year after that, here they are – catch them perform LIVE this summer, you won't regret it!
