Meghan Trainor is thanking her lucky stars! 2014 has been a world wind of accomplishment for the 21 year old, with her release of 'All About That Bass' which reached no. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart! The song instantly boomed into the mainstream and suddenly it was being played on every radio station, tv, computer screen and CD player all around the globe! The track consisted of a girl power theme which has related strongly to the current generation, encouraging girls to love their body in "the era of the big booty".
“Girls need to be treated better. I never got that growing up," she says. "In high school, I didn't date awesome dudes.”
Her debut album, 'Title' brings to mind the retro 50's era, with the Doo-Wop backing vocals and R&B, as well as the Soca inspired rhythms, influenced by her uncle who is a singer from Trinidad.
