The first installment of the Christmas Trilogy, the rock opera “Christmas Eve and Other Stories”, was released in 1996 as Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s debut album, containing the major hit, “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24”. The second installment, “The Christmas Attic”, was released in 1998, featuring the hit “Christmas Canon”, an adaptation of Pachelbel’s popular “Canon in D Major”. The final installment, “The Lost Christmas Eve”, was completed in 2004, following a story of loss and redemption.
The Trans-Siberian Orchestra remains true to founder Paul O’Neill’s vision of being one of rock’s most generous bands with an ongoing commitment to philanthropy. For every ticket Trans-Siberian Orchestra sells, $1 or more is donated to charity, with a whopping total of $20 million donated to date.
