Born Ashley Frangepane and now to the world at large simply Halsey, the incredible singer-songwriter showed talent at an early age, learning guitar age 14 and performing professionally in various cities by the time she was 18. Beginning by posting cover songs on YouTube, she gained record label attention for her song “Ghosts” which she posted to SoundCloud. In 2014, she toured with The Kooks, and found herself an instant sensation with her appearance at 2015’s South By Southwest festival. She went on to co-headline with Young Rising Sons and provide support for Imagine Dragons.

In 2015, she released her debut album, “Badlands,” described by the singer as a concept album set in a dystopian future, a metaphor for her own mental state, and an “angry female record,” expressing an identification with the feminist movement. In a Billboard interview in 2015, Halsey revealed that she had already started work on her second album. Now, the wait is over – Halsey is on tour with her new record, “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom”.
