Formed in 1984, New Kids On The Block originate from Boston, Massachusetts, currently consisting of Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood. In 1986, the band released their self-titled debut, but it wasn't until they released the single “Please Don't Go Girl,” which shot up to number 10 in the charts!! Their second album saw massive success in 1988, hitting the top of the Billboard 200, setting a precedent for a warm reception that would last them the rest of their career.

Forbes magazine listed the band in 1991 as the year's highest paid entertainers, above the likes of Madonna and Miachel Jackson!! Breaking up in 1995, the band announced their long-awaited reunion and celebratory album in 2008, “The Block,” which shot up to second place on the Billboard 200, proving that the band still very much have it more than 20 years since their formation!! In 2014, the band were given a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
